The Affiliation of Multicultural Societies and Service Agencies (AMSSA) will be holding a provincial symposium on Cultural Competencies: Working with Newcomer Children on Friday, February 18, 2011 from 1:30-3:30pst. Speakers will discuss ways to incorporate culturally sensitive practices in classrooms, programming, and daily interactions when working with newcomer children and families. You are invited to participate in person at the SFU Harbour Centre in downtown Vancouver or online via live streaming video. Online participants will be able to email questions and comments to the speakers live.
NOTE: This symposium is free of charge but participants must register in advance.
