Celebrate multiculturalism with a “Kids Around the World” bulletin board

You can personalize your program and celebrate the diversity of the families you work with by creating a“Kids Around The World” bulletin board!

In this example from New Canadians Centre of Peel, they have taken a world map and photos of all the children.  They then wrote the children’s name and home country below each photo, and put a piece of yarn from each photo to the home country using push pins.

Be creative!  There are many ways to create this sort of idea in your program even if you have little or no budget.  You can have the children draw pictures of themselves, and make your own little world map.
