Reaching In, Reaching Out—Resiliency

Reaching In, Reaching Out – Resiliency from CMAS Canada on Vimeo.

When things get tough, some people “swim” and others “nearly sink.” People who are able to “swim” through difficult times are more resilient. They “bounce back” from stressful experiences. Reaching In, Reaching Out (RIRO) is an evidence-based skills training program to help adults help children develop a resilient response to life’s bumps in the road. Through interactive activities and group discussion you will gain an overview of the resilience research; find out what it means to be resilient; learn about seven critical abilities that researchers associate with resilience; and get information about “thinking habits” and how they help or hinder a person’s ability to effectively deal with stress.
