Care for Newcomer Children (CNC) Conference

Refugee families with young children often face a great deal of trauma and adversity. Luckily, as one of their early points of contact in Canada, CNC staff are uniquely positioned to help these families by building their resilience. To support their work, we’re pleased to announce the upcoming National CNC Conference.

March 1–2, 2018

Thanks to funding from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), settlement service providing organizations and CNC programs from six provinces will travel to Toronto to participate, share and learn.
Through interactive workshops and expert presenters, we’ll strengthen our capacity to support refugee children and their families by exploring:

• the impact of the refugee experience on young children and their families,
• the effects of trauma and resettlement, and
• key strategies to strengthen families’ capacity for resilience and to support their settlement.
